Thinking about revenge won’t help- Asamoah Gyan

Ghanaian footballer Asamoah Gyan has advised the current Black Stars squad to desist from thinking about revenge against Uruguay in their final group game.

Gyan was present as Ghana lost to Uruguay on penalties in the 2010 World Cup quarter-finals, a game that is still on the back of the minds of many Ghanaians.

They head into the game with confidence after beating South Korea 3-2.

“We’re human beings. People will have it at the back of their mind about this revenge thing against Uruguay. It’s a normal thing but it shouldn’t get to our head too much. We have to stick to the game plan. Thinking about revenge wouldn’t help,” he told 3Sports.

Ghana will face Uruguay on Friday.
