Annor Walker has agreed to rejoin Great Olympics till 2025

After a season with FC Samartex, the veteran strategist has returned to the ‘Oly Dade’ family.

Accra Great Olympics of the Ghana Premier League has appointed Annor Walker as their new head coach for the 2023/24 season.

Walker has rejoined the capital club to replace Bismark Kobby Mensah, whose contract with Great Olympics terminated last month.

Despite taking the side to 10th place in the Ghana Premier League at the end of the 2022/23 season, the veteran coach amicably parted ways with FC Samartex.

Walker, who had been extensively connected with Hearts of Oak, has officially signed a two-year contract with Great Olympics to lead the club’s technical staff ahead of the upcoming season.

Walker was named head coach of Great Olympics prior to the commencement of the 2020/21 league season, and he led them to sixth place.

He improved on that position the following season, helping the Dade Boys finish sixth in 2021/2022.

Great Olympics had a terrible season last year, placing fifteenth on the Ghana Premier League log with only 42 points.
