GFA has confirmed that elections for 2023 will take place before the end of October

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has stated that the much-anticipated Elective Congress would be held before the end of October 2023.

This move is in reaction to worries about the existing Executive Council, led by President Kurt Okraku, and the possibility of extending their tenure beyond October.

Prosper Harrison Addo, the GFA General Secretary, offered confidence to the public in a statement made on Thursday, July 6, 2023, by announcing that the Election Committee has already began conversations with several clubs.

Their principal goal is to provide forth a clear road plan for the next elections.

All GFA activities are in accordance with the standards outlined in the organization’s laws, guaranteeing a fair and transparent procedure.

Furthermore, the Elections Committee has emphasised the need of approving the nomination fee, the amount of which will be established during the forthcoming Ordinary Congress on July 10 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi’s Great Hall.

Nominations for the highly anticipated elections will be allowed only when this cost has been established.

These achievements demonstrate the GFA’s commitment to respecting democratic values and incorporating all key stakeholders in creating Ghana’s football destiny.

Football fans are getting excited about the next Elective Congress, which will serve as a venue for serious conversations and the election of delegates who can promote good change in the sport.
