Ghana’s Armwrestling Team achieved history by becoming the first to “host and win” the 12th Africa Armwrestling Championship.
The Ghanaian team collected 132 medals with an astonishing display of power and talent, cementing their supremacy in the sport.
The Golden Arms outperformed difficult opponents such as Egypt and Nigeria throughout the competition.
Team Ghana collected a whopping 1088 points in a fantastic display of their powers, earning them first place on the medal table.
Their outstanding achievement comprised a stunning collection of 47 gold, 55 silver, and 30 bronze medals, demonstrating the team’s consistency across all categories.
This amazing result represents a tremendous improvement for Team Ghana over their prior tournament performances.
Egypt, another strong challenger, finished second on the medal table with a good total of 282 points earned from 25 gold and 4 silver medals.
Nigeria also demonstrated their brilliance and tenacity, gaining 247 points with a collection of 10 gold, 9 silver, and 14 bronze medals.
Mali and Senegal, two emerging arm-wrestling powers, rounded out the top five on the medal table, demonstrating their expanding influence in the sport.
The tournament, held in Accra’s GNAT Hall, gave an exciting platform for arm wrestlers from all across Africa to battle and demonstrate their skills, with Ghana emerging as the clear victor.
