Following the unveiling of the roadmap for the approaching elections, Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential candidate Kojo Yankah stated his unhappiness with the present GFA leadership.
The GFA Election Committee stated that the Elective Congress to elect the GFA president for the next four years will take place on September 27 after nominations were available for four days from August 7 to 11.
Mr Yankah, who served as head of the Western Regional Football Association and an executive council member under the Kwesi Nyantakyi government, believes that the existing structures are unfavourable to persons who wish to run for president.
Speaking to Onua Sports, Mr Yankah warned that the polls would not take place, claiming, “The Elections will not take place, and if they do, something tragic will occur.”
“Kurt is afraid of me; I am the reason they are doing this, but I will ensure that the elections do not take place.” Kurt is untrustworthy and will lose the elections,” he continued.
Yankah announced his desire to run for the GFA leadership a few months ago.
