Pankrono and Adabraka Zongo youth clash leaves one dead and two others injured

On Thursday, October 19, Pankrono youth tried retaliation for the purported death of a citizen named Bernard Owusu by Adabraka Zongo youth. Prior to the arrival of the police, two persons were injured. Mathew Donkor, the deceased's father, voiced concern about the escalating hostility between the two populations. In an interview with Joy News, he advocated for the establishment of a curfew in the region. Assembly member for the region, Ernest Owusu, has promised the Tafo Municipal Assembly that the community will remain peaceful as the police investigate the situation.

In the Ashanti Region, a conflict between the youth of Pankrono and Adabraka Zongo resulted in one death and two injuries.

The clash is a retaliation for an event that resulted in the death of one individual.

Since the death of one of their comrades in a community football competition two years ago, there has been simmering hostility between the teenagers in both communities.

On Wednesday, October 18, following another competition, one individual was allegedly stabbed to death in what is considered to be retaliation.
