The Bonsa River in Tarkwa, Western Region, has overflowed its banks, causing devastating flooding that has devastated large areas of the town.
Rising floods have caused individuals to leave their automobiles, and buildings are now encircled by floodwaters.
Nana Esi, a Space FM journalist, told Citi Newsroom that the river had been running high for a few days but had not suggested an impending overflow until three days of nonstop rain hammered the area.
Tarkwa’s link to the Bonsa region has been completely severed as a result of the water, causing substantial traffic congestion inside the township.
The people of Tarkwa are dealing with the problems brought by rising seas.
She went on to say that local authorities have been mobilised to respond to the issue, coordinating efforts to protect the safety and well-being of those impacted.
