According to Pemsuo Radio, Coach Akwasi Appiah is set to run for a place on the Ghana FA Executive Council, representing Asante Kotoko, in the 2019 Ghana FA Elections.
The process of accepting nominations for the next elections has already begun, with potential candidates receiving application forms.
The club’s acclaimed life patron, His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II, has pledged unshakable support and backing for Coach Akwasi Appiah’s application for the role, according to the Kumasi-based radio station.
Notably, the former Black Stars coach is now a member of the Interim Management Committee, which was created by the life patron to supervise the club’s activities for the 2023/24 season. Appiah works as a technical director in this role, allowing him to run for the Executive Council post on behalf of Asante Kotoko.
The Ghana Football Association wishes to formally announce the start of the nomination process for the next elections in 2023.
All interested applicants should complete the included application forms and return them to the GFA Secretariat by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023.
