We have not withdrawn our appeal against the judge who is overseeing the Cecilia Dapaah case – OSP

However, the judge quickly stated that the original information supplied was incorrect, since the OSP continues to press the Chief Justice to remove the judge. The OSP has subsequently published a public notice asking the public to reject such stories.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has disputed rumours that it has dropped its motion to the Chief Justice to remove Justice Edward Twum from matters involving the OSP and Cecilia Dapaah.

The OSP petitioned the Chief Justice after accusing Justice Twum, who refused Dapaah’s initial confirmation application, of bias against the OSP and the Special Prosecutor.

According to media reports on Wednesday morning, the petition accusing the judge of prejudice had been dropped.

When the court gathered for the hearing of the second confirmation case, the judge verified this.

However, the judge quickly stated that the original information supplied was incorrect since the OSP continued to press the Chief Justice to remove the judge.

The OSP has subsequently published a public notice asking the public to reject such stories.
