Two armed robbers stabbed to death a gold buyer in Subriso, near Benso, Tarkwa-Nsueam Municipality, Western Region.
The deceased, named Alhaji, was accosted by the thieves while on his way to work at 4:30 a.m.
The thieves approached Alhaji and stabbed him many times, according to CCTV evidence.
The thieves then left the scene, however, one of them was subsequently apprehended by locals. The outraged villagers beat the thief to death, while the other is presently on the run.
Since then, authorities have initiated a manhunt for the second robber.
Residents in the vicinity are fearful and panicked as a result of the occurrence, and they have asked the police to shore up security.
