Asante Kotoko to sign Samuel Asamoah from Bofoakwa Tano

Asante Kotoko has shown an interest in signing Samuel Asamoah, a quality right-back from Bofoakwa Tano, during the current transfer window, according to local transfer analyst Mohammed Shaban.

Samuel Asamoah has emerged as a notable performer for Bofoakwa Tano in recent seasons, because of his exceptional defensive talents and attacking ability from the right side.

His regular performances and diverse talents have piqued the interest of scouts and coaches around the country, particularly after assisting in Bofoakwa Tano’s successful promotion back to Ghana’s top division.

The right-back position has been identified as a critical area for reinforcement by Asante Kotoko’s administration and coaching staff, and Samuel Asamoah precisely matches the mould of the player wanted by coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

According to reports, talks between the two clubs are beginning, with a focus on the complexities of the transfer agreement and the conditions of the player’s contract.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko has confirmed the signing of dependable defender Yahaya Dawuni on a three-year contract.

The 19-year-old’s signing with Asante Kotoko was formally revealed on August 8, following the satisfactory completion of obligatory medical examinations.

Dawuni, who shone at lower-tier Susubiribi Sporting Club, has already joined the Asante Kotoko squad for pre-season training at Beposo Park in the Ashanti Region.

The former Ghana Premier League winners began their pre-season practises on August 8 at Beposo Park.
