Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Head Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum feels Ghana has the ability to win international events provided junior team training sessions are aligned with the new football philosophy.
This declaration follows the recent announcement by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) that all of the country’s young national teams will adopt a similar playing style through the proper execution of the football DNA.
In an interview with Citi Sports, Ogum reaffirmed his unflinching belief in Ghana’s capacity to triumph on the international scene.
He emphasised the significance of good development and how it might pave the path for easy success.
“Of course. If we do the development well, trophies will come automatically. It will be effortless.
The development is like building a house. When you get the foundation right, the rest becomes relatively easier.
If we are able to get our developmental football well established, I think at the elite level it will be relatively easier for us to excel.”
Ghana aspires to develop a strong foundation for its future football stars by embracing a united playing style through the deployment of the football DNA, boosting the chance of earning major prizes and recognition in the world arena.
Ghana’s most recent major football victory came in the shape of the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which was hosted in Mauritania.
Under the direction of Head Coach Abdul Karim Zito, the Black Satellites won the event.
