I want to put together a formidable team to compete locally and internationally - Prosper Ogum

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has emphasized his ambition to build a strong squad in his first season with Asante Kotoko SC.

The former WAFA head coach returns to the Porcupine Warriors for a second stint as a replacement for Coach Seydou Zerbo.

Previously, Dr Ogum led the squad to its first Ghana Premier League title since the 2013–14 season. His coaching abilities culminated in a great record of 67 points from 34 matches, guiding the Porcupine Warriors to a league title victory over Medeama.

In light of his appointment, Coach Ogum shared his aspirations, stating, “My first year is to put together a very formidable team that can compete both domestically and internationally. However, you can’t be at Kotoko and not think of bringing success,” Ogum said.

The experienced strategist will begin preseason practises with the GPL heavyweights on Tuesday, August 8th, at Beposo in the Ashanti Region.

After finishing fourth in the previous season, Kotoko hopes to recapture the GPL crown in the following season.
