During the current by-election in the Central Region, the police detained two security imposters in Assin North.
At Assin Bereku, the first arrest was made of a guy dressed in military fatigues.
The other had a man dressed in a police costume.
The two suspects are presently being held by police.
Following the Supreme Court’s ruling that Mr James Gyakye Quayson’s 2020 election was unlawful due to his dual citizenship, three candidates are running in the election.
Mr Quayson is running for re-election on the National Democratic Congress ticket.
Charles Opoku is the candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
A third candidate is running on the Liberal Party of Ghana’s ticket.
