Kumasi Sports Academy, Sea Lions, Jonina Ladies, and Fosu Royals have qualified for their first Women's Premier League season

Both Kumasi Sports Academy and Sea Lions have returned to the highest division of women’s football after being relegated the previous season.

KUSA earned their comeback by dominating the Northern Zone playoffs, while the Sea Lions achieved the same in the Southern Zone during the recently concluded Regional Women’s Championship playoffs in Kumasi and Kyebi, respectively.

Kumasi Sports Academy finished second, narrowly behind Techiman-based Fosu Royal Ladies, earning them a berth in the upcoming Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League. Similarly, the Sea Lions earned promotion by finishing second in the Southern Zone.

The Southern Zone will also welcome Greater Accra winners Jonina Ladies, who secured one of the region’s two Premier League places.

All of these promoted teams will play in the 2023/24 Malta Guinness Premier League, which will begin in October.

The promoted clubs may be found in the attached file.
