He made this statement during an appearance on Rio Ferdinand’s Vibe With Five Podcast when he discussed being thrown off the squad for criticising Ghana Football Association members for not treating players fairly.

Extending on the contentious matter, the former AC Milan and FC Barcelona midfielder stated that despite battling for them, he had no support from his teammates.

“No one. I was even fighting for the team you know not for myself. I saw them going out with my luggage bro worst moment you are just going out…with (Sulley) Muntari in the back. The real thing would be saying we are all not playing.

They are staying even if you don’t play us (me and Muntari) keep us on the bench don’t make a big fuss around it. They kicked us out we left and went to our families.”

The Black Stars went on to lose 1-2 against Portugal in the last group stage match and exit the competition.
