NPP rebuke Sam George for referring to Bawumia as a “religious prostitute”

Mr Ahiagbah expressed his unhappiness on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen show on Wednesday, saying that certain NDC members had opted to join the name calling. He commended Legal and Communications team member Godwin Edudzi Tameklo and the NDC's Deputy Communications Officer for jumping on board. According to Mr. Ahiagbah, if this act is not halted, the country would perish; hence, the NDC should be summoned. "I get angry when I talk about this, but it appears to be a new song that the NDC is now singing." We must make it plain to them that being tolerant does not imply that you do not regard your own ideals.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused certain members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of bringing religious charges against Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, has said unequivocally that name-calling must stop.

Sam Nartey George, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, recently referred to the NPP flagbearer as a “religious prostitute.”

He said that the Vice President’s involvement with both churches and mosques is completely political in nature.

Its purpose is to foster peaceful coexistence, which is why Ghana is the envy of many countries. It will not end good for us if we do not stop. We can experiment with some things, but there are constraints,” he said.

A clearly enraged Ahiagbah stated that certain NDC members who are Christians had been spotted in the Mosque and with Imams.

As a result, he said, “Does that make them religious prostitutes, or are they just causing division?”
