Asante Kotoko have named a new set of players as leaders on the field of play with Richard Boadu leading the pack.
Richard Boadu joined the team last season from Tarkwa-based Medeama SC and has since commanded first-team football with his leadership qualities being noticed by the technical team.
He replaces Ismail Abdul-Ganiu who is reported to have requested the termination of his contract over his failure to undergo surgery to solve the recurring knee injury that has prevented him from bossing the defence of the club.
However, Richard Boadu Agadas will be deputized by Yussif Mubarik as the first vice, Danlad Ibrahim as the second vice, Christopher Nettey as the third vice and Cameroonian import, Pouaty Dendoum as the fourth vice-captain.
Meanwhile, the list of captains who were named prior to the start of last season have all been transferred with the exception of Ganiu, whose fate will be decided in the coming days.
