I’m a 23 year old guy and I am quite a novice with dating and relationships. Cos my whole life has been focused on doing well in school and making my parents proud and I have done that. I met this nice lady and we went for a date at the mall. I paid for the food we ate and everything. This was my first ever date.
So when we finished eating, I thought that was all, cos we had spent hours eating and chatting and I was even tired so I thought we were done and I can go home. But this lady said that she had some shopping to do at the mall and I should go and escort her to buy some things.
So I followed her to a shop where they sell bags and she chose two bags and a shoe and came to the counter and paid. After she paid, I walked her to the station to get a car and gave her something small for transportation. When I got home, I checked up on her to see if she had also gotten home only for her to send a long voice note about how stingy I am.
She said I should have paid for her shopping and that’s why I am a guy and that she has used her mother’s money to buy the bags and now she doesn’t know what to tell her mother. I was so shocked because I didn’t even know she wanted me to pay. To add to all of this, she insulted me, called me a jon boy and blocked me.
I felt very bad and I have been thinking about this thing all day. She is still a student In UPSA and she knows I am doing my NSS and we haven’t been paid for months so even paying for the food was a sacrifice for me but I wanted to step out of my usual indoors and experience dating. Please did I do anything wrong because she has made me feel like a fool.
