A Medical Doctor stated that four out of twelve girls who were reportedly sexually assaulted by Rashid “Anaata” Ahmed, a 35-year-old prominent MC in the Wa Municipality, had multiple penetrative intercourse and as a result lost their hymens.
The four females, aged 11 to 13, were medically checked and discovered to have had many sexual relations.
Dr Alhassan Mohammed Mubarak testified before the Wa Circuit Court on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, where Rashid Anaata Ahmed’s trial is being held, that the four girls who are witnesses in the prosecution had been sexually molested. He further stated that the females confessed to him that they had had sexual relations several times.
When challenged about the encounters during cross-examination, Rashid Anaata Ahmed maintained his innocence and pleaded not guilty. The lawsuit was postponed until August 23, 2023.
Rashid Anaata Ahmed is accused of being a serial paedophile in the municipality who preys on females in their early adolescence. He is accused of defiling 30 such girls. However, in the present research, 12 females are accessible and eager to testify against him.
The case has sent shockwaves across Wa Municipality and the whole Upper West Region.
