You’re on the correct route, you’ve our backing – Christian Council to Dampare

Bishop Gordon Kisseih, Presiding Bishop of the Life International Church and First Vice-President of the GPCC council, added his voice to the outpouring of praise, saying the council is pleased with the police service's leadership and attitude to concerns.

The Christian Council of Ghana praises the police service’s leadership for reaching out to key stakeholders in their efforts to improve public involvement.

It comes after the Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, and members of the Police Management Board met with the council on Thursday at the Pentecost transit guest house in Accra.

The meeting is part of the police department’s continuous interaction with key stakeholders as part of their end-of-year security preparations.

Speaking at the event, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, expressed the council’s thanks to the IGP for summoning them and taking the time to clarify certain security issues with them.

“We thank you for the education. These are things people pay to acquire but you have shared them with us for free, we are grateful. You have our support as a council,” he said.

Bishop Gordon Kisseih, Presiding Bishop of the Life International Church and First Vice-President of the GPCC council, added his voice to the outpouring of praise, saying the council is pleased with the police service’s leadership and attitude to concerns.

“You are on the right track and I want to assure you that you have our backing”.

The IGP, on his part, assured Ghanaians that the police will provide a “overdose” of security this Christmas.
