PSG has signed France forward Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona for £43.5 million (50.4 million euros).
Dembele, 26, joined Barcelona for £135 million from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 and has scored 40 goals in 185 games while winning three La Liga championships.
The 2018 World Cup winner has agreed terms with the Ligue 1 champions on a five-year deal.
“I am very happy to join Paris St-Germain and can’t wait to play in my new colours,” said Dembele.
“I hope I can continue to grow here and make all the club’s fans proud.”
Dembele signed a new two-year deal with Barcelona last year after winning the Copa del Rey twice.
Xavi, Barcelona’s coach, acknowledged Dembele’s desire to quit the club earlier this month.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi claimed Dembele, who has a release clause in his contract worth 50 million euros, will be an “important and committed player” for the French club.
“The passion and determination shown by Ousmane as he has signed for PSG is fantastic,” he said, “and perfectly corresponds to the attitude required of all of our players.”
Dembele appeared in the World Cup final in December, but a thigh injury forced him to miss the most of the second half of the season as Barcelona won the league.
He has 37 France caps, scoring four goals, and is PSG’s eighth addition of the summer transfer window.
