Former President John Dramani Mahama has advised Ghanaians not to lose hope in the nation, pointing out that they have the potential to change the country’s economic management in the 2024 general elections.
He said that the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration is causing tremendous hardship for many Ghanaians.
Many of the kids he had spoken with around the country, he said, had lost faith in the country.
On Sunday, November 19, 2023, the ex-president addressed the congregation of the Apostolic Continuation Church in Techiman, Bono East Region.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, who is in the region for his “Building Ghana Tour,” joined them in worship.
The NDC leaders launched the “Building Ghana Tour” to engage Ghanaians and revitalise the NDC in preparation for the presidential election in 2024.
The Building Ghana Tour allows Mr Mahama to meet and connect with Ghanaians from all walks of life, as well as fans and sympathisers of the NDC.
As part of the journey, he will visit significant cities, towns, and villages and meet with local people to hear their problems, thoughts, and goals for a vibrant Ghana.
Mr. Mahama also asked Ghanaians to express gratitude to God at all times, regardless of the difficulty.
He, on the other hand, urged Ghanaians to learn from deceptive politicians who make big promises but fail to keep them, and to vote against such people.
“Let us learn from our mistakes and vote wisely,” he urged in Twi, adding, “I understand what every Ghanaian is experiencing.” The pain is awful.”
