Ghanaians talk too much - Bernhard Lippert calls for patience

Bernhard Lippert, Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), claims that Ghanaians prefer to moan about poor football results rather than accept reality.

He was informing Ghanaians on the recently issued paper, the ‘National Football Philosophy,’ which retains Ghana football’s uniqueness while emphasising that stakeholders need to learn quickly in order to catch up with other countries that are far ahead of Ghana.

Following the recent decline in club and national team performance, many have called for an appropriate structure to help Ghana get back on track in terms of football.

The GFA, on the other hand, released the paper on Wednesday, which is intended to educate and refresh all stakeholders in order to restore the nation’s golden days in the game.

Lippert, speaking at the event, urged Ghanaians to limit their expectations and instead become acquainted with the country’s football identity.

“I think we are talking too much as a people. In Africa, most of the countries are ahead of us and we think we are still a football powerhouse. We need to work hard.

“It’s very important for us to have characteristics, That’s why we tried to find out our DNA as Ghanaians. We need to have an identity,” Bernhard Lippert said on Wednesday during the launch of the National Football Philosophy.
