The ban on Ashgold Football Club was maintained during the Ghana Football Association’s 29th Ordinary Session of Congress.
As a result of this judgement, Ashgold SC would be unable to participate in football activities in the nation.
At the GFA Congress Session in Kumasi, 67 members voted in favour of the club’s continued ban, while 17 voted against it.
Due to their association with prohibited officials, particularly Kwaku Frimpong and Emmanuel Frimpong, the GFA suspended Ashgold with immediate effect under Article 17(1) of the GFA Statutes.
The GFA barred the pair from participating in sports betting and claimed match manipulation.
Dr Kwaku Frimpong was banned from all football-related activities for ten years and fined Ghs 100,000 for his role in match manipulation.
