Whoever is elected as the NPP's flagbearer should adopt my 6-point plan - Kwabena Agyei Agyepong

Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a failed presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), believes any candidate who becomes the party’s flagbearer should implement portions of his six-point plan to better position the country for success.

After the party’s special delegates meeting on Saturday, August 26, 2023, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Joe Ghartey, Kofi Konadu Apraku, and Kwadwo Poku did not receive enough votes to advance to the next phase of the NPP presidential contest.

Mr Agyepong asked the party not to elect those who had failed in the Akufo-Addo administration to lead the party ahead of the 2024 elections at the beginning of his campaign on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

He emphasised the need to select people who can successfully solve the difficulties that faces the nation.

In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Eyewitness News on Citi FM in Accra on Monday, Mr Agyepong stated, “I hope that whoever emerges takes out my six-point plan to rescue the country.” “I’d like the person to share some of my ideals.”

He stated that he expected to be in the top five, despite poll results indicating that he would be in the top four.

Mr. Agyepong explained that this was due to his confidence and hard work, but at the end of the day, the delegates made their choice, which he respected, and he was content with himself.
