Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh has joined Metz in France

For an unknown amount, Ghanaian attacker Benjamin Tetteh has finalised a permanent move to recently promoted French Ligue 1 club FC Metz.

The 26-year-old joined the English Championship team from Turkish club Yeni Malatyaspor in July of last year. He appeared in 17 games for the Tigers during the 2022/23 season, albeit his progress was limited by injury.

Among his outstanding performances, Tetteh scored the City’s lone goal in a 2-0 home win over West Bromwich Albion in March. His strong angled strike, which was named Goal of the Month, demonstrated his skill on the pitch.

He also had three assists, two of which came against the Baggies. Furthermore, he was instrumental in earning a penalty from which Ozan Tufan scored our first goal of the previous season against Bristol City.

Tetteh, who spent a year with Dreams FC during his childhood career, has seven Black Stars outings to his name.
