Karela United of Ghana’s Premier League is planning to relocate from Ayinase in the Western area to the Northern region.
This follows the club’s acquisition by Ghanaian politician Haruna Iddrisu in December 2022, during the betPawa Ghana Premier League’s hiatus for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The former Minister of Communication has been vociferous about his intention to purchase the squad, citing “moving the club forward” as a goal.
The Western Region-based team finished eighth in the Ghana Premier League last season with 47 points from 34 games.
Haruna Iddrisu is the Member of Parliament for Tamale South, and his acquisition of Karela United, as well as the team’s impending move, indicate that the club is aiming to begin a new chapter with the vision of its new owner as the new bet.The Pawa Ghana Premier League season is almost approaching.
